Help
  • You will utilize skills in the practice and theory of sport and mental performance coaching to enhance health, wellness, and performance of Marines in tactical and training environments as part of primary prevention.
  • You will enhance positive perceptions of physical activity and operational training.
  • You will provide education, assessment, practical skills and tools associated with cognition, personal and professional perceptions, confidence, resilience, and motor skill development.
  • You will incorporate biofeedback and neurofeedback for performance enhancement and administer attentional, interpersonal style, and other testing methods or mental performance inventories associated with job tasks and MOS of Marines and Units.
  • You will attend and participate in Marine physical training sessions, and provides services as needed during land, water or crossover-based training sessions and supports unit training events in the field and onsite at unit locations.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing short and long-term mission-specific performance programs; consulting with individuals regrading assessments, goal setting, and performance plan development; and leading structured group or individual mental performance consultations and sessions.

Education
In addition to the specialized experience listed above, you must meet the basic qualifications of the position:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
