DeBrunner & Associates is a highly respected health policy consulting and advocacy firm with a specialized practice focused on serving the health care community in Pennsylvania. Since 1996, we’ve provided expert counsel, strategic insight, and impactful advocacy to hospitals, health systems, provider associations, long-term and acute-care providers, LIFE (PACE) organizations, behavioral health and rehabilitation providers, and biopharmaceutical companies.

Our team works at the intersection of health care and government, helping clients navigate complex Medicaid policies, secure funding, shape regulatory outcomes, and influence policy decisions. In addition, DeBrunner & Associates has a federal practice, which is key to our success due to the significant interplay between state and federal health care policy. This unique aspect further enhances the firm’s ability to comprehensively understand and meaningfully shape health care policy.

We currently have an opportunity for a Practice Associate in our Harrisburg office to support professionals in both our Federal and Pennsylvania practices. At DeBrunner & Associates, you’ll join a mission-driven team that helps health care organizations thrive in a complex policy environment.

·        Assist in the development of PowerPoint presentations to support client engagements.

·        Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and social media presence to support and build firm branding and awareness.

·        Collect, organize and input financial expenses and activity logs for lobbying reports in partnership with other team members.

·        Assist contracted vendor to support communication and reporting related to lobbying registration requirements and lobbying expenses to clients.

·        Prepare and submit expense reports.

·        Maintain paper and electronic files through our document management system in connection with filing protocols and retention policies.

·        Maintain appearance and functioning of our Harrisburg office on a day-to-day basis.

·        Assist with client billing and banking deposits.

·        Understand client concerns, ensure clients are satisfied, and build internal and external relationships of trust and reliability.

·        Adhere to firm policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.

·        Work independently and in collaboration with others daily within the Pennsylvania practice and the Federal practice and in support of the firm’s business manager.

Depending on the personal interests of the successful candidate, the position of practice associate is designed to grow and support additional responsibilities as part of the legislative advocacy team or policy team. We also appreciate that you have a life outside of work, and your success at work is often tied to your ability to have flexibility in meeting your personal and family commitments.
