Job description

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Effectively cut chicken manually to specifications
  • Weigh chicken up to 75lbs. box and then Clear Vinyl Packaging (CVP).
  • Apply labels neatly and securely to packaging.
  • Immediately report and correct any weight deviations.
  • Support traceability by keeping label changes controlled
  • Ensure that no damaged product is ever packed.
  • Maintain clean, safe and orderly condition of working area.
  • Ensure no label mix-ups occur.
  • Do not leave workstation unless you are given permission by Supervisor or the replacement has been reported to the workstation.
  • Stop production if a food safety hazard is identified
  • Report any packaging or labeling non-conformances immediately.
  • Request maintenance or QA assistance when scale issues arise.

Qualifications

  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Environment

  • Day Shift- 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Cool, damp environment with temperatures ranging from 24° to 45°

Responsabilidades y Deberes

  • Cortar pollo manualmente de manera eficiente de acuerdo con las especificaciones establecidas.
  • Pesar el pollo para empacarlo en cajas de 20 a 75 libras o prepararlo para su empaque al vacío en Empaque al Vacío Controlado (CVP, por sus siglas en inglés).
  • Aplicar las etiquetas de manera ordenada y segura en los empaques.
  • Reportar y corregir inmediatamente cualquier desviación en el peso del producto.
  • Apoyar la trazabilidad del producto manteniendo un control adecuado durante los cambios de etiquetas.
  • Asegurar que ningún producto dañado sea empacado.
  • Mantener el área de trabajo limpia, segura y organizada en todo momento.
  • Garantizar que no ocurran errores o mezclas de etiquetas.
  • No abandonar la estación de trabajo sin la autorización del Supervisor o hasta que el reemplazo haya llegado a la estación asignada.
  • Detener la producción si se identifica un peligro relacionado con la inocuidad alimentaria.
  • Reportar de inmediato cualquier incumplimiento o desviación en el empaque o etiquetado.
  • Solicitar asistencia de Mantenimiento o Aseguramiento de Calidad (QA) cuando surjan problemas con las básculas.

  • Ser una persona responsable y confiable.
  • Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno de producción de ritmo acelerado.
  • Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante períodos prolongados y realizar tareas repetitivas.
  • Capacidad para levantar, transportar, empujar o jalar materiales según sea necesario.

  • Turno diurno: 6:00 a. m. a 2:30 p. m., de lunes a viernes.
