Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Postpartum/GYN travel position in Thornton, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care postpartum experience and current NRP certification.

Details
  • Post Partum/GYN unit located on the 3rd floor of a hospital
  • Unit features 14 LDRPs and 2 ORs with a staff of approximately 60
  • Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum
  • Procedures performed include versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
  • EMR systems used: CPN and Meditech (prior Meditech experience preferred)
  • Equipment used includes Beacon
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
  • Current NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Postpartum RN experience
  • Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible โ€” no local candidates
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration โ€” no Canadian SSNs accepted
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • One professional reference required
Additional Information
  • Labor & Delivery experience is preferred and will be prioritized during consideration
  • Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
  • Ideal candidates are flexible, adaptable, communicative, and patient-care focused
  • Team structure includes a charge RN, Labor & Delivery RNs, and Postpartum RNs on both day and night shifts
