Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum position in New Albany, IN, working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details
  • Hospital-based Women's Health Services unit covering Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM
  • 48 hours per week
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Indiana or a Compact state
  • Current BLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
  • Minimum education: ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and apply appropriate safety measures
  • Previous nursing experience preferred; new grad RNs will be considered
  • MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
  • Copies of all certifications and license verification required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to women's health patients across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery settings
  • Perform and document thorough patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age, and developmental considerations
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while facilitating patient and family education
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the execution of the plan of care
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits
  • Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and/or NICU is a plus
  • BSN is preferred but not required
