About the Post-Production Manager

The Post-Production Manager owns the scheduling, workflow, and delivery operations for the Content team’s audio and video editing departments. This role ensures all weekly and seasonal shows are properly staffed, strategically scheduled, and delivered on time across podcast, YouTube, VOD, and streaming platforms.

Partnering closely with the Directors of Audio and Video Editing, this person manages the editing pool across both staff and freelance editors, oversees workload balancing and capacity planning, and proactively identifies risks that could impact deadlines. The Post-Production Manager serves as the central point of accountability for post-production schedule health, building scalable systems and processes that support high-volume publishing and continued growth in video content.

What You’ll DoDepartment Leadership & Management
  • Oversee daily scheduling of the post-production department across audio and video

  • Translate production timelines into actionable post-production schedules

  • Own on-time delivery performance across all shows and platforms

  • Provide visibility to leadership on schedule health, risks, and mitigation plans

  • Build contingency plans for high-volume periods or unexpected staffing changes

  • Establish and maintain workflows, file management systems, and delivery pipelines

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements

  • Build scalable post-production systems to support expansion into video and VOD distribution

  • Create and maintain the post-production calendar and scheduling system

Project Management & Delivery
  • Build and maintain detailed, deadline-driven post-production schedules in Airtable or equivalent systems

Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner closely with production, show, marketing, and distribution teams to align on delivery timelines

  • Communicate regularly with internal teams via Slack and collaboration tools

What You Will Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

  • 5+ years of post-production experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, deadline-driven schedules

  • Experience managing podcast post-production workflows

  • Experience with resource planning and capacity management

  • Experience delivering content to YouTube and VOD platforms
