Job description

For over four decades, Essential Systems Solutions (ESS) has been a leading provider of installations of Point of Sale (POS) Systems in restaurants and retail establishments across the country!

ESS is looking for POS Installers to join our growing team! Our POS Installers are the face of our company, responsible for completing various installation jobs at many customer locations. ESS is seeking individuals that have some Restaurant and/or Hardware experience and desire a job where one travels from job to job! As long as you have basic computer skills and the initiative to do the job right and get the job done, we will provide all the training you need!

As a POS Installer, you will be based out of your home and go directly to customer locations to work your assigned jobs. Clients include many of the leading restaurant chains and the majority of installations are within a radius of 200 miles of where you live, but there may be times when further travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete full installation of Point-of-Sale systems at customer locations
  • Set up and connect Cash registers, Monitors, Printers, Cameras, etc.
  • Replace network cabling when necessary
  • Troubleshooting and the ability to work with other vendors
  • Provide paperwork and picture taking requested in dispatch and Close out call with Essential Management
  • Willingness to work changing schedules including early mornings, over-nights, and weekends, as required
  • Jobs that take place outside of your local area may require you to be away for several nights at a time
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone, emails, and work orders
  • Tracking of expenses and submitting weekly expense reports
  • Ensure you are at the job at the pre-determined time
  • Work with our clients by promoting the highest level of service and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • Good driving record and practice safe driving habits
  • Willingness to travel on short notice
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to learn and retain new information and concepts quickly
  • Ability to follow directions and strong follow up
  • Proven good judgment and proactive decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Pass a background check that includes: drug screening, criminal background and driver's license
  • Have car insurance and a valid driver’s license at all times
  • Be able to work on your own as well as on a team
  • Be able to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
  • Have your own smartphone and basic work tools
