Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time experienced LOC SMS POS Software Installer / Trainer Representative to deliver structured, high-quality training and support to our customers. This role involves training end users (cashiers, managers, owners), supporting POS software, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

This is a customer-facing role, not a traditional IT position, but strong technical aptitude is required. Travel and flexible hours (including weekends) are part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onsite and remote training on all aspects of POS software
  • Coordinate and communicate clearly with customers throughout the training process
  • Manage assigned projects within defined scope and timelines
  • Schedule, facilitate, and tailor training programs to individual client needs
  • Develop and update training materials, documentation, and videos
  • Serve as the subject matter expert during client onboarding
  • Provide best practice guidance and answer operational “how-to” questions
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professional communication
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues promptly
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to operational inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and solutions
  • Support multiple POS-related software solutions
  • Conduct proactive customer follow-ups
  • Troubleshoot systems remotely using remote desktop tools
  • Perform hardware and software staging and quality assurance
  • Assist with sales-related activities as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of grocery retail experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of LOC SMS Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
  • Strong interest in technology and learning new systems
  • Comfortable presenting and training groups
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); Spanish is an asset
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary POS systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Experience with LOC Store Management Suite is an asset
  • Training or teaching experience is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of POS hardware (scanners, scales, receipt printers, EFT devices) is an asset
  • Basic understanding of electronic payment devices is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and SQL databases is an asset

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends
  • Successful completion of a background check prior to employment
