Akamai Intelligence is seeking an experienced Electronics Security Systems (ESS) Technician to join our team in Alexandria, VA. The ESS Technician will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems in a mission-critical facility environment. The ideal candidate will be C- CURE certified and comfortable working hands-on with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related integrated systems. Responsibilities
Install, configure, test, and maintain access control and surveillance systems, including cabling, readers, cameras, panels, and power supplies. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electronic security equipment and infrastructure. Use C- CURE 9000 system for configuration, diagnostics, and system upgrades. Collaborate with security managers, IT, and facilities staff to ensure system reliability and compliance with security standards. Document installations, wiring diagrams, and service logs in accordance with company and customer requirements. Support project leads in system integration and commissioning tasks. Provide responsive onsite technical support to resolve system faults, alarms, or failures. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred. Active C- CURE certification required. Minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection hardware. U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Desired Qualifications
Experience with Hirsch Velocity and Bosch security systems. Familiarity with federal facility ESS design standards or ICS 705โ€“compliant environments. Experience with IP-based system integration and networked security devices. Benefits
