Reports to: Pool Manager, Pool Supervisor Effective Date: April 2025
Job Summary:
The Pool Server plays a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members by ensuring a clean and welcoming pool deck while delivering high-quality food and beverage services. This position requires an individual who is proactive, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Pool Server will be responsible for preparing, stocking, and delivering food and drinks, maintaining a tidy pool area, and ensuring that all members' needs are met with the highest level of service.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Stocking:
  • Prep food items in accordance with the menu and daily specials.
  • Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked in the poolside kitchen and service areas before and during shifts.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas and adhere to all food safety guidelines.

Food & Beverage Service:
  • Deliver food and drinks promptly to poolside tables ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure that all tables are bused and wiped off.
  • Monitor and refill water stations to keep them stocked throughout the shift.
  • Assist members with placing food and drink orders and provide recommendations when needed.
  • Ensure that each member receives attentive and personalized service, addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner.

Pool Deck Maintenance:
  • Regularly patrol the pool deck to remove trash and debris.
  • Wipe down furniture, tables, and chairs to maintain a clean and pleasant environment.
  • Ensure that umbrellas, and other poolside amenities are well-maintained and replenished.

Member Relations & Customer Service:
  • Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for club members and guests.
  • Anticipate member needs and exceed expectations through excellent service.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times, especially during busy or slow periods.
  • Take and fulfill orders quickly and efficiently, ensuring each guest's experience is seamless.

Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the pool area for events or special functions as needed.
  • Follow all country club policies and safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by pool manager.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials to provide informed recommendations and answer questions.
Work collaboratively with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and seamless service.
Assist colleagues as needed to maintain a positive team environment and efficient service.
Efficient use of the POS systems.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking around the Club campus.
*In addition to afore mentioned details, a server must act in a professional, respectful and fair manner at all times. This should be directed towards members, guests and all club staff. If disciplinary action must be taken, the server must act in the best interest of the club and membership. Judgement should be taken in moments of urgency but follow up should occur with direct managers as soon as possible.
