Job description

Giro Pack, Inc. has an opening for a Plate Mounter position at our Vidalia, GA. location. Plate Mounters play an integral part in the manufacturing of products within the packaging industry and are responsible for the overall plate mounting operations with an emphasis on quality and efficiency as outlined by customer and manufacturing specifications.
We are looking for candidates that are self-motivated, dedicated, dynamic and attention to detail focused. The plate mounter opening is a 3rd shift, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, Monday - Friday position, however training will be conducted 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday until training is completed.
Plate Mounter job duties include:
  • Safely operate mounting plates machine amp; cleaning plates machine
  • Follow printing planning orders and priorities
  • Maintain/clean/lube machinery amp; work area according to procedures
  • Complete required forms/documents
  • Follow all inspection procedures
  • Receive/identify/check/operate/archive all mounting plates as required
  • Report all shortcomings/imperfections/mechanical/electrical incidents to supervisor
  • Insure plates correspond to the proper job assignment

Requirements and Skills:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds, etc.)
  • Commitment to safety rules
  • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Quality and attention to detail focused
  • Warehouse experience is an asset, but not necessary
  • Must be able/willing to work a flexible schedule
