Job description

A "plate mounter" is primarily responsible for accurately mounting printing plates by using automatic mounting machine on to sleeves used on a printing press, ensuring the plates are precisely mounted on the sleeve according to job description and specifications.

DESCRIPTION

  •  Job Preparation, check job order for accuracy and request corrections as needed.
  •  Plate, check mounting plate correct item, plate condition and thickness as it is specifying on the job order.
  • Sleeve, check mounting sleeve as it is specifying on the job order sleeve repeat, sleeve made plate thickness, sleeve made press and the condition of the sleeve.
  • Sticky back, apply on the sleeve based on the job specification by using tape applicator machine without any air trapped between sleeve and sticky back.
  • MOUNT, specified item plate, check all QC list pre mount, clean the back of plate with 99.9% isopropanol alcohol, trim if it is necessary and mount the plate accurately by using automatic mounting machine and check all QC post mounted.

COMPETENCIES

  • Well detailed on all process.

EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction.
  • Ability to add, Subtract, multiply and divided in unit of measure, whole number, common fraction and decimals.
  • Familiar using Computer

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed on climates Controlled manufacturing floor.
  • Employee occasionally work near alcohol and Solvent smells.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Climb ladder
