    How would you contribute?

    This role is a contributing member of our Airlite Plastics team,located in Omaha, NE. As anInjection Supervisor you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for the oversight of the manufacturing process for assigned production area, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves monitoring equipment, assisting with production tasks, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are met. The Injection Supervisor will act as first line resolution for minor personnel issues and will refer complex employee relations concerns to senior leadership.

    Essential Duties:

    • Oversee assigned production operations to ensure efficiency, quality and safety standards are met.
    • Coordinate and assign tasks to production team members, ensuring optimal labor utilization.
    • Ensure new team members are properly trained on operations, safety protocols and company policies
    • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and adjust as necessary.
    • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities and resolve production or quality issues.
    • Escalate equipment issues for necessary repairs or processing adjustments to appropriate personnel to minimize downtime.
    • Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime and quality issues.
    • Prepare and submit reports to production leadership as requested.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution and team building.
    • Identify employees with potential for development and facilitate employee development with leadership support.
    • Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.
    • Other duties and audits as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Lead assigned teams through daily operational tasks and success measures. Engage in training, coaching, mentoring, influencing and oversight of assigned work groups. Using servant leadership principles, model the company core values as they pertain to established policies, procedures and state law.

    Education / Experience/Certifications:

    • Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school, three years of successful front-line supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Passing of the Munsell Hue Color Assessment.

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet; when visiting the production floor the noise level may be loud.
