(GMCS) has specialized in providing unarmed, onsite security solutions to high-profile special events, educational institutions, industrial, corporate, and municipal clients. GMCS security is heavily rooted in guest services, first-class training, and professional conduct. Today GMCS continues to set the standard for quality security professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Protect personnel, visitors, contractors, customers, buildings, and grounds.
  • Conducts patrols buildings and grounds in accordance with Viatris Security Protocols, Procedures, and Policies.
  • Monitor Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) network system. Review video as necessary. Monitor and make appropriate notifications regarding alarms involving Viatris' Global Security, intrusion, and fire systems.
  • Initiate response/notification procedures during emergency situations such as medical emergencies, bomb threats, workplace violence incidents, suspended or terminated employees, power outages, hazardous material spills, suspicious activity, press and media requests, cargo truck incidents, etc.
  • Completes all necessary documentation in timely manner including but not limited to daily logs, incident reports, and memos.
  • Enforces Protocols, Procedures and Policies as prescribed by Viatris Security Management.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Promptly and accurately reporting all breaches of security to Viatris Security.
  • Ability to conduct walking tours of site; sit for long periods of time; climb multiple sets of stairs and occasional ladders to check mechanical areas.

KNOWLEDGE (Preferred but not required)
Must possess or have ability to gain knowledge of physical plant protection, computerized alarm systems, risk management, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and Access Control Systems.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
  • 18 years or older.
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a MVR
  • Must be proficient in general computer skills including Microsoft Office Software.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening test
  • Guest service oriented.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical requirements as follows:
    • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs, ladders, and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
    • Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand/sit for a minimum of 4 hours.
