Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) – Requirements & Qualifications

We are seeking experienced and professional Level IV Personal Protection Officers (PPO) for a special security assignment. Candidates must demonstrate strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to operate in high-profile and sensitive environments.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Texas Level IV Personal Protection Officer (PPO) License through the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Program

Valid Level III Commissioned Security Officer License

Current firearm qualification/card

Minimum 2–5 years of armed security, executive protection, law enforcement, military, or high-threat security experience

Clean criminal background

Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening

Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Strong communication and report-writing skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and make rapid decisions

Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism with clients

Preferred Qualifications

Executive protection or personal protection experience

Experience working with VIPs, government, corporate executives, or high-net-worth clients

Defensive driving training

Active shooter response training

CPR / First Aid / AED Certification

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Experience with surveillance detection and advance planning

Prior military or law enforcement background preferred

Duties May Include

Personal protection and escort services

Secure transportation operations

Threat assessment and situational awareness

Access control and perimeter security

Monitoring surroundings for suspicious activity

Incident response and emergency coordination

Maintaining detailed activity and incident reports

Equipment Requirements

Duty belt and professional security uniform/suit attire as assigned

Level III retention holster

Reliable handgun approved for duty use

Body armor recommended/preferred

Flashlight and communication equipment

Reliable transportation

Additional Expectations

Must be punctual and dependable

Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Must follow all company policies and client-specific protocols

Zero tolerance for unprofessional conduct, substance use while on duty, or policy violations

Special assignments may require travel and extended shifts
