Job description

Plant Engineering ManagerResponsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and/or repair of plant equipment and machinery. Establishes standards and policies for operating procedures and inspection of maintenance equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Routine facility maintenance duties including plant electrical infrastructure, chilled water systems, HVAC and air exchange systems, facility structural maintenance compressed air systems and water farm systems.
  • Develop monitoring systems which will evaluate the health of facility maintenance
  • Coordinate all preventative maintenance systems through in plant labor and outside services.
  • Manage technicians as assigned to accomplish engineering department tasks
  • Perform technician tasks as needed to ensure ongoing positive operation of the facility, including: maintain product water and mineral injection systems, filtration, CIP tasks, ozone, filler sanitation, batching support and the like
  • Plant project work including assisting with implementation of corporate projects, assisting with data collection initiatives as it relates to corporate requests and executing plant task assignments in the areas that are in need of evaluation and task corrective action.
  • Drive cost-savings projects and other projects as assigned to accomplish company strategies
  • Key contributor to ensuring overall plant safety, being an active advocate for team member safety. Drive to continuously improve safety behaviors, environment and culture. Be a vocal safety advocate in all plant management meetings and initiatives.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
