THE WORK
The Owego Facilities Engineering Manager leads the site's Facilities Engineering team, providing technical leadership and engineering support for critical facility infrastructure and building systems across a 1.6M SF manufacturing, engineering, office, and industrial campus. This role is responsible for engineering oversight of facility systems, technical problem solving, infrastructure planning, design review, maintenance engineering support, and lifecycle planning while partnering closely with Facilities Construction & Project Management, centralized Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
The Facilities Engineering Manager ensures facility systems remain safe, reliable, maintainable, and capable of supporting current and future business operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
Lead and develop the Facilities Engineering team.
Establish engineering priorities aligned with operational and business needs.
Provide technical leadership for complex infrastructure systems.
Develop engineering talent and technical capability within the organization.
Technical Support
Provide engineering support to Facilities and Production Operations Maintenance.
Support troubleshooting of complex facility infrastructure issues.
Develop engineering solutions that improve system reliability and maintainability.
Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Infrastructure & Asset Management
Support lifecycle planning for major facility assets.
Develop technical recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Engineering Governance
Review engineering designs developed by external architects and engineering firms as required.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and company requirements.
Support commissioning and technical acceptance of completed projects.
Maintain engineering standards and facility documentation.
Cross-Functional Support
Provide technical support to the Construction and Project Management organization.
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, ESH, Security, and Maintenance organizations.
Support outage planning and infrastructure modifications.
