Job Title: Specialist, Research & Qualification

Location: HQ

Reports to: VP, Donor Care

Management Responsibilities: None

Salary-Exempt Status: Overtime Eligible


Position Summary

This position will contribute to a fast-paced effort to mine and identify key prospects to research, engage, qualify, and elevate to the Corporate Engagement and Impact Fund teams. They will demonstrate best practices for maintaining donor records, tracking activity, and sourcing contact information from external resources. The position will also support the research of actionable intelligence for recent donors to inform engagement strategies for the entire Advancement team.


Essential Job Functions

  • Implement a fast-paced prospective and lapsed donor research strategy meant to identify, connect with, and qualify potential donors to re-engage and elevate to an active portfolio through a robust moves management process.
  • Actively move a dynamic portfolio of prospects and lapsed donors through the qualification process using reports, dashboards, and engagement plans to make a comprehensive effort to connect with and understand the donor’s affinity for the mission, interest in continuing to engage, and potential for continued support.
  • Collaborate with Donor Care teammates to implement a donor research strategy that informs stewardship efforts for the entire Advancement team, including internal & external research, contact information and connection intelligence gathering, and utilizing actions to ensure stewardship completion.
  • Collaborate with Donor Care teammates on the tracking and reporting of qualification activities and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 – 5 years’ work experience, preferably in prospect research, fundraising, and/or revenue generation through annual campaigns
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to successfully work in a collaborative, team-oriented organization.
  • Flexibility to travel overnight up to 15% of the time.
