About the Role

We're looking for an Implementation & AI Adoption Manager to lead how our Professional Services organization adopts AI and turns it into faster, higher-quality customer implementations. This role reports to the VP of Customer Engagement and sits at the intersection of change management, delivery acceleration, and applied AI.

You'll drive adoption of new AI tools and ways of working across the PS team, building fluency, removing friction, and shifting the team's habits so that implementations move faster and integrations stand up sooner. Success is measured in how quickly the team embraces new technology and how much faster customers get to value as a result.

Responsibilities

Change Management & Adoption

  • Own the change management strategy for AI adoption in PS, building the case for change, setting the vision, and bringing delivery teams along so new tools become how the team works, not an optional way of working.
  • Build AI fluency across the team through hands-on enablement, playbooks, office hours, and coaching. Meeting people where they are and turning skeptics into champions.
  • Identify and remove the friction, habits, and process gaps that slow adoption, and track adoption depth, not just rollout, as the primary measure of progress.
  • Act as the internal champion and translator between PS, IT, Business Operations and Legal so AI usage scales responsibly within security, compliance, and data-governance standards.

Accelerate Implementations with AI

  • Re-engineer the implementation lifecycle around AI, from scoping and configuration to documentation and customer communication. The goal is to compress implementation times.
  • Design, prototype, and scale AI-assisted workflows for recurring delivery work (status reporting, meeting summarization, proposal and SOW drafting, knowledge capture) that cut manual effort and lift consistency.
  • Partnering with delivery leads to embed these workflows into live projects, measure the time saved, and continuously refine them based on what actually moves the needle.

Drive faster integration

  • Use AI to speed up customer integrations. Accelerating data mapping, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting so connected systems stand up faster and more reliably.
  • Build reusable, AI-assisted accelerators and templates that shorten integration cycles across the delivery portfolio.
  • Stay current on the AI tool landscape and evaluate emerging solutions for their fit and impact within the PS operating model.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Professional Services, consulting, delivery, or operations within SaaS / enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change or adoption initiatives that shifted how a team works, ideally around new tools or technology.
  • Hands-on experience using Claude or other AI assistants to meaningfully improve real team workflows.
  • Strong grasp of the implementation and integration lifecycle, and a track record of making delivery faster.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills; comfortable coaching peers and presenting to senior stakeholders across remote teams.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering or AI workflow design.
  • Experience with integration tooling, data mapping, or APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Planful, or similar EPM/CRM platforms.
  • Change-management credentials or process-improvement certification.
  • Experience building enablement, documentation, or knowledge systems (Notion or equivalent).
Success Measures
  • The PS team has adopted AI into its everyday delivery work. Adoption is broad, deep, and sustained, not a one-time rollout.
  • Implementation timelines are 50% shorter, with documented time savings from AI-assisted workflows.
  • Integrations stand up faster and more reliably thanks to reusable, AI-powered accelerators.
  • The team views AI as a trusted partner in delivery, and this role as the person who made that shift happen.

Why Planful

Planful exists to enrich the world by helping our customers and our people achieve peak performance. To foster the best in class work we're so proud of, we've created a best in class culture, including:

  • 2 volunteer days per year, Birthday PTO, and quarterly company Wellness Days
  • 3 months supply of diapers and meal deliveries for the first month of your Maternity/Paternity leave
  • Annual Planful Palooza, our in-person, company-wide culture kickoff held in cities like San Diego, Denver, Austin, and most recently Palm Beach
  • Team-specific off-sites in cities like New York, Sonoma, or our brand new HQ based in downtown San Francisco
  • Remote first culture with benefits such as home office setup, and monthly wifi and cell phone reimbursements
  • Company-wide Mentorship program with Executive sponsorship of CFO and Manager-specific monthly training programs
  • Employee Resource Groups such as Women of Planful, LatinX at Planful, Parents of Planful, and many more. We encourage our teammates to bring their authentic selves to the team, and have full support in creating new ERGs & communities along the way

Pay Transparency Statement

At Planful our top priority is to support our employees and ensure each individual has access to equal growth opportunities. Pay decisions take into consideration the individual's skillset, experience, knowledge, qualifications for the role, and specific work location.

Our base salary band for this role is $ $85,000 - $100,000 USD per year. More details about our company benefits can be found here: https://planful.com/jobs/
