Lancaster Cabins specializes in building Tiny Home Cabins, also known as Park Model Cabins, here at our facility in Gap, PA. We build beautiful, turn-key cabins on wheels in both log cabin and modern styles, which are portable and intended for campgrounds and getaway cabins. Rooted in Lancaster County, we remain committed to quality, integrity, and honoring God in all we do.


What You'll Do as a Carpenter:

  • Enjoy steady, shop-based work in one location with consistent hours and opportunities for growth.
  • Perform carpentry tasks on our tiny home cabins, including framing walls, roofs, and floors.
  • Install windows, doors, siding, and roofing.
  • Complete interior finish work such as trim carpentry, flooring, and kitchen/bath installations.
  • Read & interpret construction drawings to complete projects accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure cabins are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of production methods and quality.
  • Work full-time, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (45-50 hours per week).

Our Ideal Carpenter:

  • Construction experience preferred: Two or more years of construction experience is ideal, but not required. (Framing, trimming, interior, exterior work). We are willing to provide on-the-job training for candidates who demonstrate strong aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic.
  • Skilled: Comfortable using hand and power tools daily, able to read and follow construction plans and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Reliable: Dependable and thrives in a team-oriented shop environment.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 75 pounds, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must have own hand tools.
