Job description

Warehouse Receiving Clerk – 1st Shift

Location:Youngstown, Ohio

Shift: Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Weekends and overtime as needed

Compensation: $17.00 Hourly

Competitive pay based on experience

Weekly Pay


$750 Sign-On Bonus

  • $375 paid after 60 days of employment
  • $375 paid after 90 days of employment


Position Summary


Total Warehouse Solutions is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Clerk to join our growing operations team in Youngstown, Ohio. This position is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through receiving, inventory control, reporting, shipping documentation, clerical support, and communication with drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, has strong organizational skills, and can effectively multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.


Essential Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Control

  • Manage driver check-in and receiving documentation
  • Process receiving and inventory transactions in warehouse systems
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damages
  • Maintain organized warehouse records, logs, and paperwork
  • Assist with inventory tracking and reporting


Administrative & Clerical Support

  • Prepare and distribute attendance reports and warehouse rosters
  • Compile and send warehouse-generated operational reports
  • Perform data entry, filing, and recordkeeping duties
  • Support department managers with administrative tasks
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling when needed


Shipping & Returns

  • Prepare shipping labels and shipping documentation
  • Verify completed orders prior to shipment
  • Process returns and complete required reporting documentation


Communication

  • Respond to emails professionally and efficiently
  • Answer incoming calls with professionalism and proper phone etiquette
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, drivers, and customers


Warehouse Operations Support

  • Assist with unloading trailers and containers when necessary
  • Support team operations during busy periods or staffing shortages
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping & receiving, or distribution preferred
  • Strong computer, data entry, and organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime when required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of warehouse clerical or receiving experience
  • Experience with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
