Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area's leading logistics providers is looking for Seasonal Warehouse Associates for our packaging division in Melvindale. This role is a great first step to building an exciting career in warehousing operations and supply chain.
Job Description:
Seasonal Warehouse Associates work in our fast-paced packaging department. He/she is critical to ensure product is assembled and packaged correctly for the end user/retailer. Gain valuable experience in quality, productivity and safety standards. This includes:
  • Receive daily job responsibilities from Supervisor and carry out duties per work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Perform work so that production requirements are met in a timely manner and ensure that completed work sheet is handed into shift leader.
  • Ensure all material whether in process or non-conforming is tagged as per applicable procedures.
  • Ensure that all material being shipped to the customer is properly labeled and packaged as per work instructions and customer packaging specifications.
  • Must be aware of quality, productivity, and safety standards as it relates to the job being performed and ensure that they are consistently met.
  • Work in compliance with OSHA and site policies. Individuals must report all workplace incidents/accidents to your Supervisor. Use and wear clothing, equipment or devices issued for protection and ensure that they are properly maintained.
  • Notify Supervision if any protective material, equipment, or device is missing or not functioning properly.
  • Report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to COVID-19 & housekeeping policies.

Ideal candidates are:
  • Team oriented.
  • Experienced in a packaging/assembly is preferred but not required.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to work in fast paced work environment.
  • Pass pre-employment background screening.

Details & Location:
  • Position located in Melvindale, MI
  • 6am or 7am start -Monday thru Friday flexible to work overtime and Saturdays when needed.
  • Starting wage: $15.00/hour
  • Packaging positions will start in June 2026.
