Job description

Location: Rochester, NH
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually

Adecco has partnered with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Rochester, NH to identify a talented Data Engineer. This direct hire opportunity supports the production of advanced 3D woven composite engine components used in cutting-edge aerospace applications.
The Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining data systems that support manufacturing operations while advancing digital transformation initiatives throughout the organization. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams both domestically and internationally to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance operational performance and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Design and support scalable data models, schemas, and database architectures for analytical and operational applications.
  • Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Evaluate and implement data storage technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL solutions, data lakes, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems, third-party applications, and APIs.
  • Create and support RESTful APIs and web services to facilitate data access and consumption.
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor databases, data warehouses, and distributed computing environments.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, workflows, and best practices to support knowledge transfer and operational excellence.
  • Support digital transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Communicate project status, process improvements, and technical updates with international teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Development, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong programming experience with Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, database administration, and data modeling principles.
  • Experience designing and supporting ETL processes and data integration solutions.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies, frameworks, and distributed processing environments.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar cloud ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and with global teams.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% as business needs require.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, and lifting of materials up to 35 pounds.
  • Required use of safety footwear and protective eyewear when entering production areas.
  • Exposure to manufacturing operations while supporting production-focused data systems and initiatives.
