The Physical Therapist position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Alexandria, Virginia. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals including occupational therapists, physician assistants, and doctors, allowing for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will involve a variety of key responsibilities aimed at ensuring the highest quality of care:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing pertinent history and performing specific assessments tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans effectively to patients and their families, ensuring they are involved in the goal-setting process.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols based on the evaluation findings, adapting approaches as needed to reflect patients' progress and conditions.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals when necessary, recognizing changes in patient conditions that may require adjustments to care plans or referrals for additional support.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care efficiently while maintaining accurate and timely documentation of each patient's care journey.
• Exhibit professional time management, ensuring adherence to productivity expectations and maintaining an accurate schedule.
• Engage in hospital and community-based marketing initiatives to promote our services and outreach.
• Contribute to department goals, complying with regulatory standards and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional growth activities, serving also as a clinical instructor for aspiring physical therapy students.
• Enhance customer experience through flexible, adaptive service focused on patient care accessibility.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
