AVP, PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION - POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Enterprise owner of the physician compensation function, accountable for strategy, policy, model design, data governance, calculation accuracy, reporting, and continuous improvement of compensation programs.
  • Accountable for compensation calculations, pay validation, and payroll readiness of physician incentive pay, ensuring outputs are accurate and trusted across stakeholders; including building the team responsible for this function.
  • Design and evolve compensation models, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment to enterprise goals, including performing complex analytics on recommended changes.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate monthly compensation and productivity results to operational leaders, physicians, accounting partners, and senior leadership, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Establish a central physician compensation team that calculates variable incentive payments each month and defines future compensation strategy.
  • Partner closely with the VP, Strategic Finance and Operational Systems on cross-functional initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and compensation processes, including leading and contributing to projects that improve systems, workflows, and analytical tools that support practice growth and operational sustainability.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-8+ years of progressive experience in healthcare services, physician practice management, or professional services, with deep exposure to physician compensation, productivity modeling, financial analysis, and enterprise-level strategy.
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant business experience
  • Experience with physician and other clinical compensation
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and follow through
  • Ability to summarize large sets of data analysis, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to work with different levels of the organization on sensitive and complex issues as necessary.
  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen, including the ability to design, validate, and interpret complex compensation and productivity models using large data sets (e.g., volumes, RVUs, incentive structures, and performance metrics) while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and auditability.
  • Proven leadership and people-management capability, with experience building and scaling high-performing teams, setting clear expectations, developing talent, and driving accountability in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong program and change-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, and deliver sustainable process, system, and workflow improvements.
  • Exceptional executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and operational analyses into clear narratives, decision points, and actionable recommendations for physicians, operational leaders, and senior executives.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $180,000-$210,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to this range, Radiology Partners offers competitive total rewards packages, which include health & wellness coverage options, 401k benefits, and a broad range of other benefits such as family planning and telehealth (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
