Job Purpose:
The Human Resource Coordinator will provide support in various human resource initiatives under the direction of the Human Resources Director. The HR Coordinator will provide support in handling employee and management questions, as required.  In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in providing general HR support to the divisions and the Corporate HR department, as directed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will support the new hire process as well as the onboarding process for all new hires
  • Will communicate with and work closely with all levels of management and other Corporate departments
  • Serves as a liaison to corporate payroll for internal status changes, new hires, and terminations
  • May assist in answering benefit related questions and information, as needed
  • Provides administrative support including, but not limited to, HRIS systems, maintaining job descriptions, processing paperwork and data entry related to company's programs and processes
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed
  • May be responsible for recruitment activities for the Company as needed: will work with corporate and division management to identify selection criteria, determine area of search, advertise and pre-screen candidate’s if requested.
  • Special projects and other duties, as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with HRIS systems and ATS platform’s (Paycom exp. preferred)
  • Effective communicator with employees in multiple states
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Strong work ethic with ability to handle interactions with all levels of management, employees and external customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision and perform effectively under tight time deadlines
  • Must have valid driver’s license for business travel

                                                
Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline or a combination of college and equivalent related HR experience sufficient to perform the expectations of this position
  • 1-2 years of experience with proven HR skills and abilities
  • PHR certification preferred but not required
  • PHR certification preferred but not required

Current or very recent experience with Paycom or other HRIS system
