Job description

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Operator. This position will be responsible for the tube mill operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 2nd shift position; Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 1:30am.
What you will be doing:
Safety, quality, priorities above all
Focus on the keeping the mill operational
Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
TPM of process and equipment in the area
Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products. Minimize scrap Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
The skills and experience you need:
High School diploma or GED Equivalent
Good mechanical aptitude
Experience in using special measuring devices, micrometer, calipers, tape measure Must be able to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them to roll tooling adjustments. Change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling Must be able to document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI trackingGood communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of productAbility to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the millAbility to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities
