About the Firm:

Cannata, Hendele & Cannata, LLP is a boutique midtown Manhattan plaintiff personal injury law firm and is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our expanding team! We represent individuals in all areas of personal injury litigation and we are committed to achieving the best results for our clients. This is an in office position.

Position Overview:

The Associate Attorney will handle personal injury cases from intake through trial. This role requires an associate attorney who can effectively communicate with clients, conduct investigations and legal research, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, draft motions, and negotiate settlements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including labor law, premises liability, products liability, and other negligence claims.
  • Conduct client consultations and maintain ongoing communications.
  • Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and defense counsel.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
  • Maintain case files and track deadlines to ensure compliance with all legal procedures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in New York and in good standing.
  • 3-7 years of personal injury law experience
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Proven work ethic
  • Compassionate and client-focused approach to legal advocacy.
