Our client, a personal injury law firm in Providence, Rhode Island, is seeking aย Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join the Personal Injury and medical negligence team.ย Theย Paralegal team plays a key role in providing extraordinary legal care. An ideal candidate understands the Personal Injury litigation legal process and is ready to join aย fast-paced team.ย 


Core Responsibilities:ย 

  • Manage personal injury and medical malpractice litigation files.ย 
  • Prepare all legal documents associated with the onset of filing complaints with the courtย to theย settlement ofย litigationย cases.ย 
  • Prepare and e-file/file Motions with the Court andย diary forย Objections.ย 
  • Timely prepare all discoveryย documents fromย Plaintiff to Defendant and Defendant to Plaintiff.ย 
  • Timely preparation of responses to discovery andย meetย with clients, to complete discovery documentation.ย 
  • Calendar appointments for partners andย attorneys relating to theย litigationย cases.ย 
  • Scheduling of depositions, arbitrations, mediations and preparation of exhibits, Arbitration/Mediation packages toย submitย to arbitrators/mediators.ย 
  • Preparation of settlement statements, compromise/reduction letters for litigation cases that settle prior to trial and post-trial.ย 
  • Preparation of all legal documents associated at trial time.ย 
  • Translationย available during trial testimony, preparation of appointments with all Plaintiff parties involved, if applicable.ย 
  • Handlingย visual exhibits at trial, ifย required.ย 
  • Maintainย client contactย in accordance withย Firm Policy.ย 
  • Maintainย monthly 1:1ย agendasย of client files for proactive continuation of cases.ย 
  • Prepare draft letters associated with the development of litigation files including dictation translation from managing partners or associate attorneys.ย 
  • Other duties as assigned.ย 


Qualifications:ย 

  • Paralegal certification or degreeย 
  • Organized with strong attention to detailย 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skillsย 
  • Strong computer skills and record trackingย 
  • Haveย a client-first approachย 
  • Ability to work independently and within a teamย 
  • Ability to work under pressureย 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle large volumes of workย 
  • Must be energetic and self-motivated,ย operatingย with a sense of urgencyย 
  • 5-7 years prior litigation experience in a personal injury firmย 
  • Proficiencyย in Microsoft Office Suite Applicationsย 
  • Experience using Needles software is a plusย 
  • Spanish speaker a plus, but notย requiredย 


Job Type: Full-timeย 

Location:ย Mon-Fri in Providence office, opportunity for hybrid schedule once fully onboardedย 

Salary: From $30 per hour. Depends on experience.
