A Permissions Coordinator is a professional responsible for obtaining, managing, and tracking permissions for the use of copyrighted materials, such as text, images, music, or video, in various projects. They ensure that all necessary rights and licenses are secured before content is published or distributed, helping organizations avoid legal issues related to copyright infringement. Their work often involves communicating with rights holders, negotiating terms, and maintaining records of permissions received. Permissions Coordinators are commonly found in publishing, media, entertainment, and educational organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a permissions coordinator, and why are they important?
