Position Description
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Project Planning and Schedule:
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
Coordinate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project objectives.
Conduct risk assessments and develop innovative mitigation strategies to address project challenges and uncertainties.
Risk Identification & Contract Management:
Review project contracts, specifications, and drawings to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Monitor contract compliance and address any deviations or disputes in a timely manner.
Budget and Financial Reporting:
Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial objectives are met.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely progress reports, invoices, and payment applications to clients and stakeholders.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize project profitability.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Facilitate regular communication and collaboration among project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Safety:
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project, fostering awareness, accountability, and ownership of safety responsibilities at all levels.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor project quality, safety performance, and environmental compliance.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, including field staff, subcontractors, and support personnel.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project team.
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably heavy civil and highway road construction
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera and Vista Software) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and standards. (DOT/BOA regulations)
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are a plus.
