Location: Varies
Shift: Varies, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available. Weekday and Weekends.

Salary: $41-44.50 (RN), varies on shift worked

Lifeworks is hiring per diem RN to work with Individuals with ID/DD in our Residential homes. We are a nonprofit human service agency that provides adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live engaged and meaningful lives. We're searching for an enthusiastic individual who will bring their personality, an independent work ethic, and a strong belief in enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Essential Duties:
  • Administer and safely store all medical supplies and prescribed medications.
  • Treat any daily health care problems, including first aid and emergency problems.
  • Regularly assess clients for specific nursing needs, and health problems and monitor accordingly. Lift and transfer individuals as appropriate to their needs.
  • Provide preventative health maintenance: blood pressure check, weight, health care education.
  • Work with staff to develop programs related to client's health and related issues.
  • Act as resource person to program staff, clients, families and care providers regarding health care issues and concerns.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of client medical files and ISP requirements. Participate in or complete nursing assessments, progress notes, and other applicable documentation.
  • Provide and or assist with regular in-service training in coordination with nursing staff
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Protect the health and safety of all consumers and staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Healthcare Supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and one year of experience.
  • Must be able to pass Fingerprint background check, CORI, DPPC and Driving background checks
  • Nice to have: Experience working with Individuals with ID/DD
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
