Work Experience Description:
Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.

Position Scope
- Applies compresses and assists in various other basic treatments such as providing aspirin-free pain relievers, cleaning minor wounds and abrasions, and applying band-aids.
- Takes and records guest/employee temperature, and records any other symptoms observed regarding the injury or illness. Records injury and illness and submits them to the manager of the safety Department.
- Observes guest/employee and reports any adverse reactions to supervisor.
- Follow up with the Safety Committee and report and update to the Compensation Department.
- Assembles and uses various types of first aid materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Must have a good working knowledge and understanding of basic First Aid operations, treatments and procedures.
- Must be familiar with the various cultural traditions and attitudes of Pacific Island and Pacific Rim countries.
- Must be able to become First Aid and CPR certified.
- Must be capable of a full range of body movement.
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Fluency in a foreign language is desirable but not required.
- Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid/ CPR/ AED certified.
- Prior work experience.
- Proficient in English with strong writing skills.

Day Shift: 11AM - 4PM
Night Shift: 4PM - 10PM
All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
Approximate starting hourly rate:
$14.00 - $16.00
The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
