Position Title: Lead PeopleSoft Administrator

Location: Vienna, VA

Duration: 10 Months +

Posting Description:

The Lead PeopleSoft Administrator is a senior-level engineer responsible for the technical infrastructure of PeopleSoft systems and solutions. The position provides expert analytical and technical support for Human Resources and Financial applications. The candidate will participate in the evaluation, planning, environment building, third-party integration, application administration, testing, implementation and production support of PeopleSoft solutions.

Required Skills:

Extensive experience in progressively responsible positions focused on PeopleSoft system administration including: installation/configuration, maintenance, trouble shooting and performance tuning for PeopleTools (Application Server, Web Server, Integration Broker, Process Scheduler, etc.)

Experience in applying patches/fixes and new feature including installation of PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), change package creation and management via Change Assistant

Expert ability to conduct research, evaluate technology trends and provide leading practice recommendations

Proven experience as a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator implementing and managing PeopleTools 8.5x (Experience in Tools 8.54 and above is preferred)

Responsibilities and Additional Duties

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the PeopleSoft infrastructure, environments, and tools

Provide pro-active performance monitoring and capacity planning for future application

Develop, implement, and enforce migration, versioning, and change control procedures/standards

Develop and maintain system documentation

Work closely and effectively with other infrastructure team members, development, project management and system analysts

Work directly with management to formulate direction of system technologies

Ability to motivate and instruct team members to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems

Possess a strong customer focus and ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the IT groups

Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences (management, users, vendors, technical staff) in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding

Provide off-hours support including night and weekend on-call access
