Job description

Position: Sr Lead PeopleSoft Developer
Location: Remote
Contract
Candidate will be joining a fast-paced team with numerous learning and career growth opportunities. Candidate's core competency will be with PeopleSoft Financials, but Candidate will lead and contribute with integrating new technologies, will have strong communication skills, and will be proactive and comfortable in working with Application Architects, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and production support teams. The candidate will have day to day responsibility for providing design leadership, strong developer skills, and aiding in both planning and execution of projects focused on PeopleSoft enhancements, upgrades, and integration capabilities. The candidate needs to be a quick and eager learner who can get up to speed quickly.
Successful candidates will possess proven experience developing and delivering quality solutions incorporating sound database and software design principles. Moreover, have a genuine passion and energy to grow within a fast-paced and fun environment, using the latest technologies in alignment with the company's technical vision and strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for complex hands-on development, management and implementation of change requests to PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Assets)
• 50% of work in custom bolt-PeopleSoft development and functionality, excelling at our most complex development work units
• Responsible for reviewing high level business requirements and collaborating with business partners, systems analysts and subject matter experts in architecting multiple solution ideas, designs, and estimating work efforts
• Responsible for architecting and hands-on development of new processes and custom enhancements to existing code, application patches/fixes/upgrades, focusing on more complex and ambiguous work
• Partner with Business and Systems analysts, Administrators, and Quality Assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve configurations, code customizations, code migrations, and testing from System, Integration, User Acceptance and performance
• Work with IT development peers and production support to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of issues and defects during development, testing, and post-production phases
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code review, coaching and guidance to junior offshore developers, as needed
• Partner with leadership and peer architects to help map out our future technical strategies across multiple financial applications
• Ideate, design, and develop solutions that prevent issues and defects in place of manual resolution
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of design and hands-on development for PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 (specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Assets) ; Includes performing root cause analysis, data and process analysis, authoring technical designs/documentation, and peer code reviews
• 10+ years of combined software engineering/development experience across multiple technologies
• Experience designing complex end-to-end solutions that utilize delivered and/or custom PeopleSoft functionality and features
• People Tools experience in 8.6X or higher
• Experience leading portions or all technical work unit/elements for PeopleSoft patching or upgrade projects including identifying code changes and planning/managing code retrofit (Application and People Tools)
• 4+ years of senior or lead developer experience including providing guidance, work direction, and technical leadership to junior developers
• An advanced understanding of best-practice PeopleSoft systems design, development, and modification techniques
• Flexibility to work earlier or later than core business hours to accommodate customer and team collaboration and code deploys, when required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Exemplary communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation to both technical and functional customer audiences
• Development specializing in General Ledger and/or Accounts Payable preferred
• Interest and/or exposure to Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake
• Integration with SAP Ariba P2P On Demand applications a plus
• Web service integration development
• Experience with performance tuning of PeopleSoft Application, specifically General Ledger and Accounts Payable (batch and online)
• Agile/Scrum methodology
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
