Overview

Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort in Southern Utah offering ultra premium accommodations, refined dining, and elevated guest experiences. The Front Office and Guest Services teams are central to delivering seamless communication and service across all departments.

The PBX Operator - Full Time is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls, coordinating guest requests, and facilitating communication between departments. This role ensures prompt, accurate, and courteous service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The PBX Operator plays a critical role in the guest experience by acting as the central point of contact and ensuring all requests are directed and followed through appropriately.

Job Specifications:

 

Onsite: Black Desert ResortShift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-TimePay Rate: $16.00 - $19.00/hour. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities including but not limited to

  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Provide accurate information about resort services, amenities, and operations.
  • Coordinate and dispatch guest requests to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor and follow up on guest requests to ensure completion and satisfaction.
  • Handle wake-up calls, emergency calls, and special guest requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of resort operations, outlets, hours, and services.
  • Assist with internal communication between departments and leadership.
  • Log and track service requests, issues, and follow-ups.
  • Support Rooms Division operations during high-demand periods.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and resort operations.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to guest concerns or emergency situations.
  • Uphold Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium hospitality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous PBX, call center, or front office experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with phone systems, PMS systems, and basic computer applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
