As a Payroll Project Manager, you will take a hands-on role in delivering a large-scale payroll transformation, driving the implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of Dayforce across a complex North American organization. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will solve problems, streamline processes, and ensure a successful system rollout.

What you will be doing
  • Contribute in a major way to the implementation and optimization of Dayforce payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, payroll regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Play a lead role in payroll system configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Develop and execute data migration, parallel testing, and payroll reconciliation strategies to ensure a seamless transition to new systems and processes.
  • Evaluate current processes, procedures, systems and tools and develop project plans to address inefficiencies within the payroll function. This includes financial analysis and risk mitigation plans.
  • Report project progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders, including presentations to executive leadership.Utilize change management techniques to accelerate the adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Report team results to key stakeholders, including presentations to executives.
  • Document and train affected parties on new processes, procedures, systems and tools.
  • Assume a leadership role to ensure projects meet all agreed to deliverables.
  • Participate and/or lead in special projects, ad hoc analysis requests and perform additional duties as required.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in payroll operations, payroll systems, or payroll project management roles.
  • Deep Dayforce implementation experience, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Proven experience leading payroll system implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives within large, complex organizations.
  • UKG experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with ADP, or other enterprise HCM/payroll platforms considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience with data migration, payroll reconciliation, parallel testing, and system integration activities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • 8+ years' experience with in-house payroll processes required.
  • US Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Canada Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) preferred.
