Summary


The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting key Human Resources functions, including payroll administration, employee onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR compliance.


Key Activities


  • Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Review timesheets, attendance records, and payroll-related data for accuracy.
  • Coordinate payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, wage adjustments, and deductions.
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Prepare employment documents, offer letters, and onboarding materials.
  • Conduct I-9 verification and maintain employment eligibility documentation.
  • Ensure completion of required new hire paperwork and HR system entries.
  • Support employee transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and claims inquiries.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities and employee communications.
  • Maintain benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and workplace issues.
  • Assist managers with employee relations matters and policy interpretation.
  • Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Support workers' compensation, leave administration, and accommodation processes.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics as requested.


Preferred Skills


  • HR certification, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, healthcare, or multi-site operations.


Educations & Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are essential for this position.
  • The role involves managing payroll processes, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company and state policies.
