Work Type: Part Time or Full Time, Monday-Friday. Flexible schedule between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST daily, morning availability is required.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Weโ€™re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate, timely payroll for our clients. In this role, you will bring your expertise across multiple payroll platforms and your ability to manage employee timekeeping records with precision. Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, as youโ€™ll rely on it for data reconciliation, reporting, and processing. Professionalism is a must, as you will serve as a trusted resource for our client workforce, handling sensitive information with care and accuracy.   • A keen eye for detail and organization is one of your many superpowers
  • Experience working in a Payroll position minimum 5 years
  • Preferred background in providing payroll solutions for multiple companies
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • You are a phenomenal communicator; Overcommunication? No.Such.Thing! Both verbal and written communication are your jam

  • Comfortable with California wage and hour compliance

  • Youโ€™re familiar with an array of software platforms such as, Paychex, Paylocity, Gusto, Rippling *emphasis on Rippling and Paylocity experience. Additional software such as Slack, Asana, Google Suite, MS Office, Ease (Mineral) are also helpful.
A typical day at NLS can look like, responding to workforce questions, interacting with 401k and benefit providers and independent focus time to complete payroll deadlines.
