Job description

Argus Medical Management is a physician practice management company that has served physician communities in the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas for 30+ years. Argus Medical provides comprehensive billing and managements services which include contracting, credentialing, HR services, accounting, etc. to support Physicians in private practice.
We are currently looking to hire a Payment Assistant in the city of Cypress, CA.
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $23 per hour
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Position Summary
The Payment Assistant supports daily payment processing operations by accurately handling incoming mail, payment batches, and documentation. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable individual who can manage daily tasks efficiently while supporting team needs.
Job Duties
  • Process incoming payment-related correspondence by opening, sorting, organizing, and preparing mail for daily processing.
  • Accurately prepare and enter payment batches within CareTracker while ensuring documentation is properly scanned and maintained.
  • Support payment operations by maintaining organized records and following established procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide occasional backup courier support, including transporting materials to designated locations and assisting with end-of-day processing activities.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation to support occasional courier responsibilities.
  • Safely handle and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily operational needs and maintain workflow continuity.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation required for occasional courier support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing needs, and work independently.
  • Motivated, dependable, and willing to support team operations as needed.
