Job description

The Asphalt Sales Representative / Estimator is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, preparing accurate project estimates, and securing profitable paving and site development work. This position combines business development and estimating functions, requiring both strong customer-facing skills and technical knowledge of asphalt paving and construction operations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, estimators, project managers, and field personnel to ensure projects are bid competitively and executed successfully.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, municipalities, property managers, engineers, and private clients.

· Identify and pursue new paving, milling, maintenance, and asphalt rehabilitation opportunities.u

· Prepare and present proposals, bids, and pricing packages.

· Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents to prepare accurate estimates.

· Perform quantity takeoffs for asphalt paving, milling, grading, aggregate base, coProficient in ncrete, striping, and related site work.

· Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

· Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, equipment, materials, trucking, subcontractors, and overhead.


Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 plus years of estimating experience in the asphalt industry
  • Must be familiar with the asphalt and paving companies in the South Florida and nearby areas
  • Experience with Advanced Excel and other Estimating software
