Description
We are seeking a seasoned, driven Fabricator II with a solid foundation in fabrication techniques and TIG Welding to join our shop team. The ideal individual will assist the Shop Supervisor with the fabrication and assembly of sheet metal ductwork and HVAC system components and have the ability to handle more advanced tasks independently. This role involves physical labor, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to safety and quality standards on residential and commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sheet Metal Layout & Forming: layout patterns using both manual and CNC methods
  • Precision Measurement: use measuring tape, calipers, micrometers, protractors, and other measuring tools to check accuracy
  • Cut, Bend, and Shape Sheet Metal: operate tools and heavy equipment to measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal ductwork and related components including using TIG welding techniques
  • Safety: follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • General Labor & Support: perform general labor and support tasks as directed by the Shop Supervisor, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas

Requirements
  • 2+ years of Fabrication and TIG welding experience
  • Experience in HVAC, sheet metal, or general construction is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to accurately read and use a measuring tape for precise layout and fabrication work
  • Advanced knowledge of tools and measuring techniques
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces
  • Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record to travel to multiple job sites
  • Must own standard industry hand tools.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork
  • Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal team members
  • Willingness to take direction in a fast-paced environment and mentor team members
