What is a patient concierge?

Patient Concierges are healthcare professionals who assist patients throughout their medical experience, offering personalized support and guidance. They help with scheduling appointments, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns to ensure a smooth and comfortable visit. Patient Concierges often act as liaisons between patients, families, and healthcare providers, aiming to enhance the overall patient experience and satisfaction. Their role is especially valuable in hospitals, clinics, and specialty care centers where navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming.

How does a patient concierge typically collaborate with medical staff to enhance patient experience?

A Patient Concierge works closely with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams to ensure patients receive timely information, smooth coordination of appointments, and personalized support throughout their care journey. They often act as a bridge between patients and clinical staff, relaying patient concerns, clarifying instructions, and arranging accommodations as needed. This collaboration helps streamline communication, reduce stress for patients, and improve overall satisfaction with the healthcare facility.

Do patient concierges make good money?

Patient concierges typically earn a median annual salary ranging from $30,000 to $50,000, depending on experience, location, and employer. They often work in healthcare settings that value strong communication and organizational skills, with some positions offering additional benefits or bonuses.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a patient concierge, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Patient Concierge, you need excellent customer service skills, thorough knowledge of healthcare processes, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with hospital information systems, appointment scheduling software, and patient management platforms is important. Outstanding communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities help build trust and ensure a positive patient experience. These skills are crucial for efficiently guiding patients, addressing their concerns, and supporting a welcoming healthcare environment.

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different?

We're looking for a Patient Concierge who can deliver exceptional customer service while keeping patients, schedules, and daily operations running smoothly. This is more than a front desk position-it's a key role that directly impacts patient satisfaction, office productivity, and practice growth.

At Concierge Dental Group, our Patient Concierges are trusted team members who help patients navigate their dental care, maintain full schedules for our providers, and ensure every patient receives a five-star experience from their first phone call through checkout.

About Us

Concierge Dental Group is a locally owned and operated dental organization serving Western New York through five modern, technology-driven dental offices.

We combine advanced dental technology, AI-assisted systems, and a patient-first philosophy to create exceptional experiences for both patients and team members. Unlike large corporate dental groups, our leadership team works alongside our offices every day, providing support, training, and opportunities for growth.

Keep provider schedules filled and productive

Confirm appointments and manage recall systems

Assist patients with treatment scheduling and financial arrangements

Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain efficient patient flow

Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and pending appointments

Ensure patients are never left waiting without communication

Help create a positive and organized office environment

Opportunities for Growth

Many of our leaders began in administrative positions and advanced through the organization.

Potential Career Paths:

Patient Concierge

Office Manager
Regional Leadership Opportunities

We believe in promoting from within and investing in people who want to grow.

What We're Looking For

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to multitask in a busy environment

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Comfortable learning technology and new software systems

Positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset

Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented

Previous experience in healthcare, hospitality, customer service, reception, or dental offices preferred

Dental experience is helpful but not required-we provide training

Success in This Role Means

Patients feel welcomed and cared for

Schedules remain productive and full

Recall systems are consistently maintained

Patient balances are collected appropriately

Follow-up appointments are scheduled before patients leave

Administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time

Benefits

Competitive pay: $18-$23/hour based on experience (DOE)

Paid Time Off

Continuing education and professional development

Advancement opportunities across multiple locations

Who Thrives Here

The people who succeed at Concierge Dental Group enjoy helping others, staying organized, solving problems, and being part of a team. They don't wait to be told what to do-they take ownership, communicate well, and look for ways to improve the patient experience every day.
