Baptist South is hiring a Patient Access Representative III to join our Patient access team in Jacksonville, FL.This is a Fulltime opportunity, Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm in South Outpatient.
Patient Access Representative III,Job Responsibilities:

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently

  • Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces

  • Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas

  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters

  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)

  • Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO

  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members

  • Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms

  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

ExperienceRequirements:

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required

  • 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred

  • 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred

Education &CredentialRequirements:

  • High School Diploma Required
