PATIENT ACCESS

Part Time - Patient Access Representative II

48 hours/pay

Nights 7:00pm-7:00am (12-hour shifts)

Scheurer Hospital, a critical access rural hospital, is looking for a part time Patient Access II Representative.

Responsibilities:

  • Register inpatient, swing bed, and observation patients
  • Schedule outpatient department visits and educate patients on any necessary prep instructions
  • Submit data for Consumer Products
  • May work as a receptionist or registrar if needed
  • May work different shifts as needed
  • Collect payments at the time of registration and maintain the Michigan standard of error-free accounts
  • Abide by the Scheurer Health Behavioral Standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
