Position Summary

Are you outgoing, dependable, and passionate about helping others? Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is looking for a warm and welcoming Access Specialist to be the first friendly face our clients see. BCI provides outpatient services for adults, children, and families in Mental Health (MH) and Substance Abuse (SA) programs, and the Access Specialist plays a key role in making every client feel comfortable, valued, and well cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.

The Access Specialist is responsible for providing reception and administrative duties, which include greeting clients and other visitors, answering phones, and BCI answering inquiries. The Access Specialist demonstrates excellent customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with difficult clients/patients. The Access Specialist obtains client data and ensures that all information collected is accurate. This includes entering the information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely manner and updating established clients' information as needed. The Access Specialist schedules and verifies routine client appointments, reschedule appointments as necessary, notifies clients/patients of previous balances, obtains daily schedules, and makes return client/patient appointments as necessary. The Access Specialist maintains strict client confidentiality, assists with all filing as needed, collects payment with cash or processes credit card payments for services, and provides receipts. The Access Specialist balances/reconciles their cash drawer daily.

The ideal candidate is outgoing and enjoys working with the public, thrives as part of a professional and para-professional team, and communicates easily with BCI departments and external stakeholders.
