Access Associate is a patient management process that comprises two major components: public relations and financial impact. Each patient must be assured of an uninterrupted flow of health services, while providing financial information to keep the institution viable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Communicates with patients, visitors, fellow employees and medical office staff in a friendly, pleasant manner.
  • Provides general information for the public.
  • Conveys and forwards information to nursing staff, physician and financial staff.
  • Satisfactory written communication skills as acquired through high school graduation or GED.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in completion of job responsibilities.
  • Some exposure to medical terminology preferred.
  • Successful completion of Patient Access Exam.
