Job description

Patient Access Director

The Director of Pre-Arrival Services is responsible for the overall direction and management of the staff and activities which are performed prior to the patient's arrival at a point of service. Responsible for implementation of system Access strategy in scheduling, financial clearance, pricing transparency and concierge functions, in coordination with our Physician Services and our Hospital and ambulatory facilities. The Director ensures that patient access services are delivered according to the organization standards and client-specific Service Level Agreements, as applicable. The Director reports to the Vice President, Patient Access Services and partners closely with Revenue Cycle and Operations leadership at all practices and entities. In this role, the Director will be responsible for: Oversees access services which include but are not limited to, scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification and preparation of price estimates Directs and coaches staff and non-staff members to comply with Patient Access Services policies and procedures and service level agreements, ensuring efficient, effective personnel and operational management utilizing accepted bench marking standards Partners with operational departments, finance, physician practices and leaders to promote continuous improvement in access to services, quality, reimbursement and customer experience Works with Vice President to create and implement policies and procedures to further improve access services and to maximize efficiency within the departments, reduce denials and increase cash collections prior to service Performs other duties as assigned This position will primarily support Central Scheduling and Concierge Services

7+ to 10 years experience Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS Do you have a Bachelors Degree? Do you have previous Patient Access Experience Do you have previous experience managing a call center? Do you have experience working for a large health care facility
