What are pathology trainees?

Pathology trainees are medical graduates who are undergoing specialized training in pathology, the branch of medicine that studies the causes and effects of diseases. They work under supervision in hospitals or laboratories to learn how to examine tissues, cells, and bodily fluids to help diagnose diseases. This training is a critical step toward becoming a fully qualified pathologist and involves rotations in various areas such as anatomical pathology, clinical pathology, and laboratory medicine.
