Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Napoleon's Bakery Plant Manager and/or manager on duty, this position is responsible for pastry dough production in the facilities "Sheeting Room"
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Will operate heavy equipment as needed to sheet, roll and cut out various types of pastry dough
  • Able to hand shape, roll and cut various doughs
  • Monitors quality of products
  • Ensures production accuracy in accordance with production recipe and process
  • Ensures proper labeling and rotating of items
  • Has awareness of all safety policies and
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation practices and standards at all time

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Scheduling:
  • Flexible, available any shift, any day

Physical Ability:
  • Able to lift 25 to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for the entire shift

Mental Ability:
  • Able to do simple math (add, subtract, multiply and do simple fractions)
  • Follows direction of management team

Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and drug-screening
  • Must also possess a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler's Safety Card

Environmental Conditions:
  • Able to work in a hot/cold environment
  • There are both ambient temperatures and A/C rooms. The ambient temperature can reach at times in the 100's and the A/C rooms go as low as 50 degrees
  • There are also walk-in chills and freezers where temperatures go as low as minus 10 degrees

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:
  • Previous bakery experience and cake decorating skills preferred

Desired Skills:
  • Ability to perform simple math
  • Good planning and organizational skills
